ZONE INTRODUCTION (CHANCELLORY)
The implementation of 5S Practices in the Public Sector at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) represents an approach that is suitable and well-received by all university members. UMK has transitioned from the 5S Practices to the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) as part of its efforts to realize the transformation and enhancement of public service.
EKSA has been introduced as a rebranding initiative of the 5S Practices in the Public Sector, considering the need to highlight a systematic, comfortable, and conducive work environment that is more relevant to the public sector departments/agencies in Malaysia. This rebranding is deemed appropriate and aligns with current changes and demands to improve organisational performance and competitiveness while further promoting a culture of creativity and innovation within public sector departments/agencies.
The main components of EKSA implementation still build upon the 5S Practices, enhanced with the addition of several new elements to support the creation of a more systematic, comfortable, and conducive work environment.
VISION
Strengthening environmental management and the quality of productive service delivery.
MISSION
To cultivate EKSA culture within the UMK community continuously to create quality services through a conducive work environment, work culture and values that become the practice of all the people in the university.
